Astonfield Renewables was founded in 2005 with the goal of delivering world-class renewable energy solutions to the emerging markets. Headquartered in New York and India, Astonfield has achieved market leader status in India’s solar energy sector. As of 31st March 2013, Astonfield had:

• 19.3MW of solar power plants under operation
• 50MW under construction and
• Confirmed pipeline to commission 300MW+ of solar power plants by 2016

With India targeting the installation of 20,000MW of solar power over the next ten years, Astonfield is perfectly positioned to serve the country’s clean energy requirements while building the region’s largest pure play clean energy utility.

Astonfield’s approach as a project developer is to take projects from barren land through to an operational power plant, and to then own and operate the power plant for its lifetime. This model ensures full alignment in the interests of Astonfield and the end consumer, and will result in clean, sustainable power being delivered to some of the most underserved parts of the country.
