Dirk initially joined E+Co in May 2010, leading its efforts to develop a private equity fund. In January 2011, Dirk assumed the position of Regional Director for E+Co Asia. After resigning from E+Co in July 2011 he returned as Investment Director at the request of the Board in November 2011. As Investment Director, Dirk was responsible for E+Co’s global investment staff and led the analysis and management of E+Co’s portfolio in the restructuring that led to the creation of Persistent Energy Partners.

Dirk has a decade of experience in impact investing and investment banking. Prior to joining E+Co, Dirk worked with J.P. Morgan as a research analyst and trader in credit and rate markets. Dirk holds an MSc from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Industrial Engineering and studied climate change at Columbia University in New York.
